Is Trump Running The U.S Like His Businesses?

Written by Nancy LeTourneau, and published in Washington Monthly in March 5th, 2018. At the beginning of the blog, LeTourneau mentioned some of the promises that Trump said during his campaign. Like "We’re going to be very fair, we’re going to be very flexible but we’re going to protect the American worker as I said I would do in my campaign" (Letourneau's blog). She then mentioned the Trump administration issue, "asking Beijing for a plan to cut the annual U.S. trade deficit with China by $100 billion" ((Letourneau's blog). LeTourneau describes this type of trades as extortion from the administration of Trump. These acts that our president has taken, has triggered other countries to take action on Trump's management as president.
Her intended audience are those who strongly support and do not support Trump, passionate people in politics, and business men whose jobs are tied to the different countries Trump is "trading." She also mentioned several examples from credible sources, which supported her opinion on Trump's way to run this country. Her additional sources from other people's opinions in this blog helps the reader to understand her and others similar views towards our president. I think her approach to her audience is well back grounded, and when she shows her information sources added credibility and logic to her point of view. In my opinion, this blog has changed the way I see Trump's presidency. He is actually running this country like a business of his, but he may have not noticed that any mistake on his management would affect our lives.

Today, I will give my constroctive opinion on one of my classmates' work done on March 30th, 2018. My classmate Angela De Cello, and she wrote about enhancing and fortifying the gun rights of the citizens. On her blog  she argues about the how the constitution is outdated and lacks of laws (rights) that our modern day citizens do not need for their sake. I trully believe that she wrote a well-organized and neat comment about the gun rights issues that our nation currently faces.  She gave her own ideas for laws that would regulate the use and sale of guns to certain people. Also, with some examples of the consequence of having irrelevant laws. With all that being said, she portraied her idea with resanoble examples, and did a great job writting this blog in a way that her audience can easily understand.

Comment on a Colleague’s Work #2

Today, I will be giving my opinion on my classmate Andrew Hudgin's Blog Assignment 7. This blog assignment is about creating an original editorial or commentary. Hudgin has created a commentary called   Iran Nuclear Deal. Hudgins starts with the reason of what the U.S. did, which was withdrawing from the Iran Nuclear Deal. So far so good, but the next two sentences confused me at first on what was the deal agreed on. The lack of commas, in the first paragraph, and some grammar errors are the reason why I had to read twice his work. However, the use of meaningful words and descriptions in the rest of the blog helped me realize that even though the deal was not going as planned, it is the first step that might have an impact in the other nations related to the dangerous use of nuclear weaponry. Overall, this commentary is a great start, but if it is well-edited and proofread, it will make easier to spot the likely impact that this deal agreed on would have.

Our Government part two.

Our US Government Today, I will refine my last opinion about the U.S government. My last opinion of our government was based on what I have learned in my U.S government college class and this time will be more specific with examples.  The structure of our government was constituted in the 18th century, and since then it has been adapting to facilitate and please the common citizens. It's incredible to reflect on the past and realize how our government was not even ready to be called a first world country. The government used to be ruled by white land-owning males. Nobody but them had the right to vote and decide the future of our country. It's been quite a long time since that, and now there are still people that think or assure that their rights have been snatched from their hands.
